Dr. Ruben Barrera is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, trained in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. He cares for women of all ages and health concerns, with a particular focus on abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids and pelvic floor disorders. He believes in treating women with compassionate, comprehensive care and helps connect them to accessible healthcare options when necessary, to ensure a warm and seamless experience at his office.

Dr. Barrera earned his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, Facultad de Medicina, Mexico. He completed his residency at Bronx Care Health System, Bronx, NY. He subsequently completed a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the same institution, when he earned the Recognition of Excellence Award in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic
