Asya Wallach, MD, is a board-certified neurologist who is fellowship-trained in Multiple Sclerosis. She has a particular interest in optic neuritis, adult and pediatric–onset MS, and other inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system, including neuromyelitis optica (NMO) and MOG-antibody syndrome.
Dr. Wallach earned her medical degree at NYU School of Medicine, after receiving her bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology from Columbia University. She completed her Internal Medicine training at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, and Neurology Residency and MS Fellowship at NYU. Dr. Wallach's fellowship was supported by the National MS Society. Throughout her training, she has worked with a number of research groups, publishing on various areas of interest in the fields of Pediatrics and Neurology, and presented her work at multiple national and international conferences.
